Singapore (Edt. 2010)

Although some refer to Singapore as „the little red dot“, the city is much more than that moniker. The bustling metropolis offers an unrivaled living environment and a melting pot of cultures. Besides the fact that different ethnicities and beliefs coexist makes Singapore one of the most interesting cities in South East Asia and a destination for private and business tourism alike.

Singapore has made significant inroads since the 1960s. With the help of the Economic Development Board (EDB), Singapore transformed itself over the course of half a century from a pre-industrialized country to a knowledge-based economy that now boasts being a global center of high-tech innovation and a high standard of living.

The significance of this rapid transformation is rarely paralleled elsewhere in the world. Such changes in Singapore took careful planning, strategic investment, the presence of a forward thinking people, and an insightful Economic Development Board. This same energy and foresight is now driving the vision of change for Singapore into the next century.
